ARMS
Traditional pub with a modern twist
Polished wooden flooring and panelling with moody lighting evoke feelings of relaxation, perfect for welcoming locals, visitors, gin and real ale lovers.
Six real ale hand pumps show the commitment and huge focus on real ale, including some unusual craft lagers and we occasionally host tap take overs from local breweries.
Set in the historic town of Wantage, the birthplace of King Alfred, The King’s Arms is a stunning listed building. Maintaining its historic frontage, the new owners have taken the signage back to its roots with traditional, gold leafed signage, but the fully refurbished interior has a more modern feel and a new lease of life has been breathed into the pub and it has been skilfully restored to its former glory.
The huge garden is big enough for friends and families with an impressive decking area, so visitors can bring their drinks outside, should they prefer, and enjoy the Great British summer!
